A Quiet Return (with five new exhibitions)
Concerning Pictopoiesis: The art of painting or drawing as if it were the cultivation of a living entity.
Thank you for your patience lately. My silence has not been empty; rather, full with production, including the above drawing, Golden Nerveflower. It is from The Pictopoietarium, one of five new exhibitions I have been creating.
These shows are all now listed with The Exhibitions Group.
While full information on each exhibition is available to members of The Exhibitions Group, introductory listings are publicly accessible and linked as follows:
A dedicated space of pictopoiesis: part field station and laboratory, part sanctuary, where the language of drawing or painting grows according to its own inner nature.
Further links concerning The Pictopoietarium:
An introduction to, and unfolding of, this continuously evolving practice, where paintings and drawings are cultivated as if they were living entities, and the visual field resonates as both image and poiesis
Alive in the Time of Coronavirus
A body of work that emerged during the global pandemic, holding together fragility, endurance, and the force of the living image.
An exploration of recurrence, rhythm, and the elemental motifs that thread through the fabric of life, and painting and drawing alike.
The “place of light” where image and illumination meet, opening a poietic field of presence and perception.
With more to come.
